Prayers for my community

Prayers are needed for Fort Hood. As many know already, we had a massive casualty this afternoon when several soldiers lost their lives at the hands of one of their fellow comrades.

I'm still in shock. The post is no longer on lock down but my husband is no longer answering my calls. This is going to be with me for awhile..

As I was looking up information for the updated press conference, I found this blog

Mass Shooting Indicates Breakdown of Military

One, it is wrong. The major was heading to his first deployment unlike what this person wrote in his blog..

I won't go into anything else because I'm still in shock and very saddened by everything that has happened today. Saddened that someone would do this to someone in my family. I'm also a bit mad because of the way he did this. It is no excuse and many people should have seen the suicidal signs. I know I've been taught to look at suicidal signs , i.e. giving away furniture/personal belongings without any reason.

Please keep us in your prayers.

Also wanted to share this with you. A friend of mine posted this on her FB and I doubt her friend minds if I share it with you. All credit is to Kayla.

My university is having a prayer vigil tonight at 10:30-11:30 pm. If anyone is in the B/CS area, it'll be at Cain park.

Thank you, have a safe evening & hug those around you and tell them you love them.

There were so many signs that were ignored. Our prayers are with you and all at Hood.

Thanks for your post. I took your "Pray" photo for my blog and Facebook, too, and thank you and Kayla both! Our hearts break for our Fort Hood neighbors tonight.

I'm glad to hear that your husband is ok! I was trying to get ahold of my boy for hours and finally heard from him!

May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
